In this Annual Report, you will see data, images, videos, and stories about how your support has been put to work for the betterment of our community. You will see our financials, as well as our donor, partner, sponsor, and volunteer listings. Taken together, our 2024 Annual Report provides a powerful snapshot of what we have been able to accomplish by coming together in support of the VVF vision and mission.
We wish you a safe, happy, healthy, and peaceful holiday season, and the very best in 2025. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

2025 Vail Valley Citizens of the Year
Together, Sue and Mike Rushmore have brought their energetic approach to the Eagle River Valley’s nonprofit world in a number of impactful ways. They have looked for areas of need, filled those needs, built new programs and organizations, and bolstered existing ones. The end result is an impressive list of remarkable positive outcomes for the Eagle River Valley community.
Therefore, for their many contributions to this community, the Vail Valley Foundation is proud to recognize Sue and Mike Rushmore as the 2025 Vail Valley Citizens of the Year.
2024 Vail Valley Volunteers of the Year
Kirsten and Bill Zeller’s volunteer spirit has been a valuable benefit to the Vail Valley Foundation and many other organizations for decades. Kirsten volunteered for the Taste of Vail for many years and participated in numerous highway cleanup events in addition to volunteering for Project Funway and the VVF’s GoPro Mountain Games and Birds of Prey. The Zellers have been steadfast supporters of SKI for MS as well as Pink Vail, raising thousands of dollars for cancer patients each year.
Therefore, the Vail Valley Foundation is proud to present the Zellers with the 2024 Vail Valley Volunteer of the Year Award.
