A continuum of support
From early childhood to college and career, the Vail Valley Foundation’s education initiative, YouthPower365, provides programs to help youth reach their full potential. In 2024 the organization served thousands of individual students (and their families), and welcomed 4,200 youth enrollments. Thanks to your support, YouthPower365 is able to provide our community with a full continuum of expanded learning and youth empowerment opportunities.

Positive post-secondary journeys
Launched in 2022, the YouthPower365 Scholarship supports students who have been in YouthPower365 programs as they head to a trade/technical or college four-year university. In the past three years, the Valley Scholars program has awarded $700,000 in YouthPower365 Scholarship funds to students attending 12 different colleges, from Colorado Mesa University to Northwestern. Their studies include welding, nursing, engineering, construction management, medicine, and more.
Family engagement in learning ramps up
YouthPower365 is enhancing efforts to integrate family engagement. Parents shared their professions with students in the PwrHrs Afterschool program, providing hands-on engagement that conveyed the core concepts of careers ranging from the electrical trade to plumbing and banking.
Programs draw statewide spotlight
YouthPower365 hosted Colorado Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera at the PwrHrs Afterschool program at Edwards Elementary, where she learned about the positive impact of the AmeriCorps Peak Pathfinders program. Primavera’s engagement with two programs in the continuum was a great opportunity to showcase the ways YouthPower365 supports local youth.

No matter your path in life, we all need support to learn, grow, and succeed. From early childhood to college and career, YouthPower365 provides a wide range of programs to help Eagle County youth reach their full potential.
In 2024, YouthPower365 brought a wide array of programming to children as they traveled the continuum from preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, and into career and college readiness.
At every age and every stage, YouthPower365 is there for local youth and families every step of the way.

Early childhood
The percentage of Magic Bus mobile preschool students meeting or exceeding expectations in seven developmental areas increased from 19% to 51%.

K-8
Across our K-8 programs, 30% of our students are from families that make less than $33,540 annually. 63.5% identify as nonwhite and 35% as English Language Learners.
91% of elementary and middle school students say there is an adult at YouthPower365 programs who they can trust.

398 students benefited from YouthPower365’s free, one-on-one career, technical/trade college, and university advising.
